Here's something I've only just noticed...

And maybe I have too much free time, but Larry Hagman NEVER did any shirtless scene's on the show, it was alway's Patrick Duffy, but Priscilla Beaulieu Presley and other ladies are always in bikini's around the pool, which I love. But why'd LH not do any shirtless scene's?

Larry was rather shirtless in Season 2; 'Jock's trial Part 1'

Season 3; 'The Venezuelan Connection' and 'The Fourth son'

And there's also a pool scene around season 6 or season 7 with J.R. helping John Ross to swim in the pool- a very vague memory though.

Geez I know too much about Larry's shirtless scenes...but anyhoo, they were an extremely rare occurrance; possibly because Larry figured that J.R. wasn't very comfortable exposing his body- but that's inconsistant with someone who's never finished jumping from one bed to another.....hmmmm :confused:

I recall J.R. was shirtless (very briefly) on his wedding night to Cally....after Cally admitted she had faked being pregnant with Sue Ellen's help in season 11.

Maybe Larry wasn't comfortable doing shirtless scenes....which is a pity, especially when he got older....he was getting so sexy then. However if Larry didn't want to them, then that's his right.

In the season 9 opener, JR was in bed with the sheet just up over his waist, reading the newspaper, while Mandy ran around in her nightgown. It was when he was talking about being disgusted with those Ay-rabs...

OK, I love the guy, you know that. But he wasn't exactly into lifting weights, and had a definite tendency to get a bit....round. So, while I personally would love to see him naked, I suspect most people do not share that particular desire! So I think it made sense to keep him under the sheets.

There was one bed scene that had my dying with laughter. It was with Cally, where the sheets were wrapped around their middles and their legs were exposed. Larry may not have the best upper body, but his legs are truly exceptional! What made me laugh - Larry was the director!

I find it REALLY hard to believe that a man who has no problem showing off his liver transplant scars is shy.
