(341) The fabulous Ewing boys
Police investigate Johnny Dancer's murder, they search Cliff's apartment, and they question Liz and Carter McKay. Michelle apologizes to Bobby and offers her help in finding Sheila Foley. J.R. takes Sly back into Ewing Oil. Vanessa fears she may have to choose between J.R. and James. Liz tells Bobby that she could be helpful in locating Sheila Foley. Cally tells Vanessa that she's pregnant with J.R.'s baby. J.R. has a tape of McKay threatening to kill Johnny Dancer. Clayton, Christopher, and John Ross meet Michelle. Bobby learns that Sheila Foley is in Odessa. J.R. violently confronts Clayton but Bobby intervenes and threatens to sell Ewing Oil.

I was dreading Michelle's return, but it's not as bad as I remembered. In fact, I found myself feeling sorry for her today. Her emotional grieving scenes were well done, and it was good to see her care for someone besides herself.

The Vanessa/JR storyline is a bit unrealistic with them immediately talking marriage. It feels too rushed and therefore unbelievable.

The scene between Cally and Vanessa reminded me of the one the year before between Cally and Sue Ellen. JR is like a hot potato they keep passing around from wife to wife.

JR and Clayton going at it was a little silly. What a brat JR can still be at times! I heard Clayton say he was on his way out, and it is sad to see him go after having so little airtime.

This has to be one of the few episodes we didn't see Cliff. Maybe he finds the Johnny Dancer story as boring as I do. ;)

Today for the first time I can recall, Soapnet inserted sound effects with the bottom of the screen blurbs. It was really annoying! Is this the way its going to be from now on?

McKay sure is acting like a caveman to his wife. She should get the hell out.

Bobby continues with his sanctimonious self. And why is he being so cold to Liz? Did they have a run-in in a previous incident?

But it was a cute touch when he told Christopher to stand up when he was meeting Michelle. The Ewing boys always stand when a lady enters the room.

I'll probably get kicked off the Swoon thread for saying this but I am liking the Vanessa storyline. JR seems to have matured overnight. But I feel bad for her, she seems like she's going to get her heart broken.

P.S. I read on the Nitpick site that in episode 340 (yesterdays) there was a scene where Bobby tells Christopher about April's death. Was this scene cut out? Because I just remember them discussing it afterwards, but not the reveal.

I missed the last 70% of this episode because my electricity went out!:grrr:
Fortunately, it sounds like I didn't really miss anything-but why did Cally tell Vanessa she was pregnant?:confused:

It slipped out. Cally said she hopes Vanessa and JR's marriage will work out even though hers didn't. Vanessa said, well we do share a child together, maybe that will make a difference. Cally said yes but so do we and then realized she had blurted it out.
