Sables change of life baby

I wonder if the child of the union of Sable and Dex was ever born. I found it to be a rather creepy plotline as I think Alexis did too!

Actually, I wondered why it wouldn't have occured to a sophisicated, woman-of-the world such as Sable that she COULD have gotten pregnant since that possibility always exists until the woman in question has definitely gone though menopause (e.g. if she stopped having cycles for over one year). If Sable didn't actually have a confirmed menopause, I'm wondering why after that one night with Dex, she didn't pursue obtaining the morning-after-pill (even though it wouldn't be foolproof but it would have reduced the possibilities of this scenario).

Did they even HAVE the "morning after" pill in 1988/89? I don't even remember ever hearing about it until around 2000. Of course, as a gay male, I only know most about condoms, and I KNOW no one on DYNASTY and THE COLBYS ever heard of one of those!

Agreed, I think Sable was a bit long in the tooth to have gotten pregnant thankfully we did not have to endure that plot twist. Besides she most likely would have taken a tumble and lost the baby I can't imagine Sable in maternity clothes, do they make maternity turbans? I thought the whole Krystal with a baby was a bit far fetched too but com si com sa...

Well, that's just the point. Notice the grays people, and I'm not talking about Fallon's alien friends!

Notice how Sable debuts on the Colbys with gray streaks that would have Elsa Lanchester something to really scream about. Sable's the older sister. But for some reason, those streaks are less noticeable and by the time Sable arrives in Denver, they're barely there! They kept making Sable younger.

A change of life baby is nothing. And it's safer today than before. It was a plot device.

It was so bad though cmon I was just glad the show ended before we had to witness Dex jr running around....

Who knows what would have happened though? Would she carry the baby to term? Would the shock of Dex and Alexis going over the balcony cause Sable to lose the baby? If she did have the baby, what would it be? Would it be healthy?

Come on, this was a bit more realistic than UFO's. That's the thing about Dynasty fans. When the show went off into the unrealistic it was bashed, when it tried to tell more down to earth stories it was bashed. They set this story up when Monica first appeared saying Sable was so dumb she had no clue what an IUD is.

Many women have change of life babies upsetting their lives, homes, realtionships, careers. Now, if a normal everyday careerwoman becomes pregnant and faces these challenges, how about a woman about to take over a billion dollar company that makes Denver-Carrington look like the corner filling station? Would Sable raise the child? If so, as a Colby? as a Scott? as Dexter? Dex was being written out. Would she tell his family? Or would she marry Blake and they raise the child as Krystina's little sibling? How would Adam like that? He despised his real siblings let alone his enemy's child.

See, the possibilities were many. I don't see what is so hard to swallow.

People please, the woman held out for 2 years after Jason/Zach - I'm sure the last thing on her mind was contraception at her age. Have we forgotten that Dex 'kind' of took advantage of her for most of the day (according to Joanna's rebuff)! Dex looks like a stallion (or a stud horse as Jeff put it). Her thoughts were probably on being able to walk after 3/4's of the day in the sack with Dex & it was just supposed to be the once remember? (before he mauled her in the lift) they weren't supposed to do it again?
