She's British but appears in American movies most notably, The English Patient (which she was Oscar nominated for), also a movie called Random Hearts with Harrison Ford. I'd seen it when it came out in 1999. I just bought it for $3 and I'm sort of hooked on her now. Check her out on the IMDB. She does appear in French movies too. She speaks French fluently.

Another good movie is the Horse Whisperer.

Hats off to you guys. Some great creations here. I just made this of one of my favorite classic stars from Hollywood's Golden Era, the handsome Robert Taylor (once known as the man with the perfect profile) who died too young from lung cancer. I just read his biography and it inspired me.

I made the Titanic banner on request of my son Max who is absolutely obsessed with everything Titanic, both movie and the ship. He knows quite about about the ship and its sister ships and his room is decorated in Titanic memorabillia

Some of her films were They Drive by Night and High Sierra co-starring Humphrey Bogart, and she directed the 1966 movie, The Trouble with Angels (hilarious movie staring Hayley Mills & Rosalind Russell).
