One question...I overanalyze these type of questions...do the nominations we send in have to be from a certain date through a certain date of release or just any from anytime?
EwingMan
09-27-2005, 04:12 PM
Well:
From today-16th December: Post here your top 5 on each category
16th December-28 December: Vote in the proper thread
30 December: Site back, Dress up and look at the results

I think what PrimetimeGuy08 wanted to know was not the calendar of the awards, but the calendar for eligibility: for example, do the movies we nominate HAVE TO have been released after January 1st, 2005 and such and is there a limit release date by which movies not yet released are NOT eligible?
Garrison
09-28-2005, 09:26 PM
I'm going to wait to send in my nominations, if you don't mind. Though I have a pretty good idea of who my choices for movies are, the TV season is young.
Romain
09-28-2005, 11:38 PM
See, that is exactly what is causing us trouble in knowing what is eligible and what's not. Are we supposed to consider the 2005-2006 TV season OR the 2004-2005 one?

Yes Romain, thank you for re-wording it...I wasn't sure how to say it.
You know how like films are eligible for the Oscars if released between ___ and ___...that's what I mean...gosh I still don't make sense, do I? lol
Basically, is any film from any year eligible for nomination?
EwingMan
09-29-2005, 04:26 PM
Oh! OK... Well regarding TV. The nominations must regard the 2004-2005 Season.
Movies will be accepted as long as the release dates in the US are between the 7th January 2005 (The first friday, therefore the first premier of the year) and the 28th of December
In case of a draw, there will be a new post made by me in order to decide. I have already reffered to the categories and you can send your nominations any time now.

OK, thanks for clarifying what needed to be explained, EwingMan.
Does anyone know if there's a list of all movies released this year available on the web by any chance? It would make it easier for us non-Americans who sometimes get movies released the following year in our countries. I know there's usually one that comes up at Oscar nomination time, but we're quite a long way from there right now.

Maybe you should advertise these awards on the other boards, not only the Movie chat one. I'm pretty sure there are people on SoapChat who don't check out every single board, so if they don't come to Movie chat, let Movie chat come to them...
