The Slayers

Miss Texas - Chosen to save the world from vampires and demons, Miss Texas does so in style along with her friends the “Scooby Gang”.

Afton - Also chosen to save the world but has taken a different path however. After accidentally murdering an innocent, Afton soon develops a taste for killing and has now joined forces with the Mayor to rid Ewingdale of Miss Texas and the others in order to take over the world.

Scooby Gang

Karen - Miss Texas’ best friend. Karen is extremely gifted in computers as well as magic and can do just about anything.

Jock - Karen’s lifelong friend and a valuable member of the Scooby gang. He usually is the first to volunteer his help but often finds himself in over his head.

Pamela - The most popular girl in school but often finds herself involved in more than one of Miss Texas’ adventures. Much to her displeasure, she is usually dragged along and forced to help.

Luke - Once an evil vampire, Luke has acquired a soul and is now helping Miss Texas to destroy the evil beings of Sunnydale. They were once in love but have decided they cannot have a future together.

Og - Karen’s boyfriend. Og is a werewolf so he fits right in with Miss Texas’ strange posse.

Ewings - Jock’s girlfriend. Ewings is an ex-vengeance demon and is now trying to adapt to human behaviour with the help of Jock. She proves to be of invaluable assistance for Miss Texas because of her experience with demons.

The Watchers

Frankie - Miss Texas’ watcher until he was dismissed by the Watcher’s Council. Frankie is the source for all information she uses to defeat various demons and is in charge of her training and well-being.

Jon-R - Miss Texas’s newly appointed watcher. Not exactly fitting in well with the group because of his stuffy, by the book rules no one really pays much attention to him except for Pamela who finds him attractive.

The Villains

AK - The most brutal and vicious of vampires. AK has killed many slayers and is hoping to add Miss Texas to his list.

Daphne - AK’s vampire girlfriend. Daphne was driven insane by Luke and he made her a vampire. Because of her insanity, she is one of the most dangerous vampires.

Bobby Ewing - The mayor of Ewingdale. Bobby is dipping into the black arts to make himself into a demon and relies on the powers of his newly appointed assistant, Afton, to ensure that nothing will stop him from taking over the world.

"Well, let me put it this way. If you're stranded in the desert, with no food or water for three days, and you come upon Abby Cunningham with a picnic basket -Keep Going!"

Any man can win when things go his way, it's the man who overcomes adversity that is the true champion. - Jock Ewing, "Dallas".

"I don't believe this Bobby!" Afton exclaimed, sitting on Bobby's desk and throwing her hands in the air in frustration. "What are we going to do now?"

"Why, mini-golf of course!" Bobby said cheerfully, smiling at his young assistant. "It's a sure fire cure for all your problems."

"Mini-golf? Miss Texas is ruining all of our plans and you want me to tap a ball into a cup with a stick?" Afton asked in disbelief.

"A putter actually." Bobby corrected, still smiling. "Don't worry about it, Afton. Once the Accension begins, Miss Texas and her band of idiots won't stand a chance against us. There is no way she can stop me."

"I sure hope you're right..." Afton said, sighing. "I think I misjudged her, Bobby. She maybe some Pollyanna wiseass but she's strong. You know, I may be going out on a limb here but I think it's time we've gathered some 'idiots' of our own."

"Idiots? You mean like an army of sorts?"

"Yes, precisely." Afton said, a tiny smile playing on her lips. "And I think I know just the people to talk to..."

-------------------------------------------------

"Okay, I've brought jelly donuts and coffee. Now the meeting can begin!" Jock exclaimed, walking into the library and trying in vain to balance the huge box and many trays he carried. Karen smiled and closed her eyes. The box and trays floated out of Jock's hands and landed softly on the table.

"Hey thanks, Karen. You're getting good at this magic thing, you know?" Jock said, taking a seat at the table.

Karen smiled. "Thanks. Come a long way from twirling pencils, haven't I?"

"Okay, now that you're finally here Jock, maybe we can focus on the situation at hand for one minute." Frankie interrupted, rolling his eyes and placing a huge stack of books on the table impatiently. "As you know, Afton has been...Wait Jock, did you say jelly donuts?"

"So much for staying focused..." Miss Texas muttered, tossing Frankie a donut from the box. "Now, if your mouth isn't too full maybe you can explain what is going on here. Something is up concerning Afton and I want to know exactly what it is."

"Yes, yes, of course" Frankie said quickly, re-adjusting his glasses. "I think this is all stemming from the Mayor somehow. You remember the man you encountered before Afton stabbed him?"

"Yes. Something about an Accension and the Mayor. Any idea what he could have meant by that?" Miss Texas asked, turning to Karen for an answer.

"Hmmm...Okay, I think I may have uncovered something in here." Karen said, taking one of the books from the stack and opening it, flipping to the appropiate page. "It says here something about an Accension and the end of the world."

"Oh damn, and just before graduation too. Guess I'll just skip the finals and enjoy what is left of my life." Pamela remarked, shrugging.

"You know, if you would even attempt to help instead of just wasting space maybe the world could indeed be saved. Just think Pamela, you could be named 'Student Of The Year' for yearbook!" Miss Texas exclaimed sarcastically.

"Pfft...As if that were in jeopardy or anything." Pamela scoffed, turning to the group. "Fine, whatever, just tell me what I can do to help."

"Shutting up would be a great help." Jock mumbled, nudging Ewings who sat beside him. Pamela just huffed and turned back to Frankie.

"You know, I could just call up on my old vengence demon friends and make someone wish that he were dead or something." Ewings offered, looking around the table.

"Helpful as that may be with regular people, Ewings, we must keep in mind that the Mayor is no typical human being. He could be immune to a great deal of traditional methods." Frankie said, turning to Og. "Any ideas from you?"

"Hmmm...None that I can think of at this moment. I could help with the research though."

"Great, you guys stay here and scour the books and see what you can come up with. I'm off to do a little research of my own." Miss Texas said, standing up and grabbing her jacket.

"And what would that be exactly?" Frankie inquired.

"I'm going to see Luke and ask him if he might have any insight into what this Accension is exactly. If not, then I'll try to track down Afton. If anyone knows how to beat this guy, it has to be her."

"Okay, and given her incredible faithfullness to our plight, how exactly will you get this valuable information from her?" Karen asked, smirking.

"I don't know, kicking, punching, repeatative beatings...You know, the usual..."

-------------------------------------------------

"What are you looking at, love?" AK asked Daphne as she looked at the night sky.

"At the stars. Don't you see how they shape a poem in the sky? I can read it..." Daphne mused, watching the sky with interest.

"What does it say?" AK asked, embracing her and kissing her earlobe.

Before Daphne could answer, the door to their crypt was thrown open and they wirled around to come face to face with Afton.

"Slayer!" AK spat, pulling Daphne closer to him protectively. "Get out of here before I kick your ass!"

"Now, now AK. Don't you want to hear what I have to say first?" Afton said, moving closer to the two vampires.

"Why the hell would I want to hear anything you have to say. You know, you slayers are really not as smart as you're cracked up to be. Don't you know that a vampires main goal in life is to stay away from people like you and try to kill them at all costs?"

"Because we both have a common goal."

AK scoffed. "And what would that be?"

Afton smiled. "Why, to get rid of Miss Texas of course."

AK looked at Afton for a moment in disbelief then shrugged.

"Okay, what do you have in mind?"
