Who was the baddie with the most? I'm only going as far as season six for Christine's sake, lol http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Cordelia: You're really campaigning for bitch of the year, aren't you?

Buffy: As defending champion, you nervous?

My vote goes to other. The baddie this season is like worse than all of them combined. I thought Glory was tough but I haven't seen tough until now...Whew!

You guys will know what I'm talking about soon enough. I'm sure CSM does http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I voted for Glory. I haven't seen "the other" http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif yet and I also don't know Adam.
So far my favorite season is definitely season 5, that whole Glory/Dawn-key thing was awesome. What I liked about Glory is that finally we had a good looking baddie, lol, you know, not another ugly demon creature.

I have also voted for Glory. The big bad of S7 is still unknown to me (well got a quick glimpse I think).
BTW I hated th three guys in S6 thought they were a bit of a let down as the baddies tended to get bigger and better every year.

Oh yes, 'The Trio' were such lameasses I didn't even bother to include them in my poll, lol. And I agree, the Nerds Of Doom was a huge letdown.

You did get a quick glimpse of S7 baddie in the first episode, Bob. I remember when I saw the first ep of that season and I was trying to figure out what the hell was going on during that part, lol. You kinda understand more later though.

Confused the hell outta me seeing all those naddies all at once - How cool to get them all to do such a small guest shot. Buffy is excellent at bringing back characters. http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/ernaehrung/ernaehrung004.gif

LOL Afton, I think I am really obsessed with "I robot, you Jane". http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif
Maybe it wasn't that bad and maybe I wasn't in the right mood when I watched this episode. But I thought it was a bit silly how this demon was trapped on the web and when he got a "body" it became even more silly. Also, Giles comes across as a total geek in that one as he is sooo against the computer technology. Back in 1996 many people felt this way but it's not like that anymore. Therefore the whole episode looks kinda dated. http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I thought it was cute how Giles was so back in the dark ages. He really loves those books of his...Especially the smell according to him, lol. Some great exchanges between him and Jenny Calender though. You could tell she had a soft spot for him even then. I thought the episode was cute.

Giles is just a very sterotypical old fashioned English Guy - Believe it or not, not all people are still using computers. We have a manager here who gets someone to print his emails then he writes on a reply and actually posts it back to the sender. http://images.bravenet.com/brpics/smilie/22_yikes.gif

By far the best villian was the Mayor. He had everything a good Buffy Baddie should have: an evil motive, a great henchman, an alliance with Faith and HUMOR! By the way, I didn't even know the Ultimate Soaps boards had a Buffy section! I love BTVS! Thanks Afton! I look forward to posting here more often!

Hmm, it seems many posters might not know about the Buffy board. Should we maybe announce the new board on the Dallas forum, Afton?

What makes you think that Afton? http://www.click-smilie.de/sammlung/engel/engel014.gif
I actually think it shouldn't only be someone with a user name based on a Dallas character but it should also be someone with mod status over there.

With all this talk about how bad "I Robot, You Jane" is - the Entertainment Weekly episode guide ranks it a C-, making it their least favourite episode of Season 1 - I was expecting it to be the "Land of the Free" of BUFFY episodes! Actually, I really enjoyed it. Any episode that starts with a flashback to 15th century Rome (or somewhere) gets my vote. Sure, the monster/demon/robot itself isn't up to much, but I'm kind of getting used to monsters not being BUFFY's strongest point. But "the demon in the computer" concept works for me - sort of like the mother of all computer viruses! Giles and Buffy's ignorance of computers does seem incredibly dated now - it reminded me of those old fifties movies where the grown ups are freaking out about rock and roll ("it's this strange new music with a crazy beat!") - but I thought Giles's little speech at the end to Miss Calendar (hooray!) about the smell of books was rather beautiful.

While not as fabulously creepy as THE X-FILES episode in which a mutant guy uses the net to hook up with fat women so he can feed on their blubber!!, the idea that Willow could fall for someone in cyberspace seems entirely plausible to me, even if does turn out to be a demon robot. The scene in which Buffy (fell in love with a vampire) and Xander (dated a praying mantis) console with her over her bad choice of dates is a classic.

Nevertheless, Entertainment Weekly decrees that "The script brainily parodies cyberculture, but even BUFFY can't enliven the intrinsic boredom of a computer-driven plot."

Actually, I have changed my opinion about "I robot, you Jane" when I saw it again around a year ago. There's lots to love about this episode like the first flirts between Jenny and Giles for example. I too lobsterlove his explanation why he doesn't like computers.
The storyline about the demon who is trapped in the world wide web is also not too bad. I still don't like the last scenes though where he gets a "body". This is a bit silly in my opinion. But all in all it's actually a good episode.

Regarding the topic about the best baddie:
I must say The First in season 7 didn't work for me at all. I liked Caleb though, he was CRAZY.
