The season 6 box set has just been released in the UK, when advertised on the tv one of the DVD extra features is a Buffy Karaoke section. How cool is that.LOL

The region two DVD sets are SOOO much cooler then the region one sets. Not to mention, you get them a lot sooner then us! I'm excited for the release of season four on DVD in June, but it's such a long wait!!

I'm bored, so to continue on with my point, I've decided to compare and contrast the R1 and R2 DVD sets of the Complete Fourth Season of BTVS:
Region Two:

Most noticeable is the fact that the season is released in Widescreen DVD. I think that's pretty cool (even though Joss Whedon recently said that the proper way to release the series is in a full screen format). I'll post his coments on another post...
Commentaries for "The Initiative", "This Year'sGirl", "Superstar," "Primaveral," "Hush" and "Restless" by series creator Joss Whedon. 2.0 Dolby surround - very nice.
As you can see, the case itself looks a little different then what we get here (and I don't just mean artwork). Maybe you could fill us R1er's in Bob, but how exactly are the DVD's stored in the packaging? It looks to me like some sort of bound cardboard book.

First of all, this is the WORST packaging design for the cover of any R1 BTVS DVD set yet. It just looks so lame. I mean, in honesty, the packaging hasn't been perfect for the first three seasons, but this just looks kinda funny.
Ok, the season is in full frame. I'm a little disapointed in this (I want to see Buffy in widescreen reguardless of what Joss said!). It's in Dolby surround sound and has these features:
Disc 1:
Script for "Fear Itself"
Disc 2:
Commentary by Writer Doug Petrie for "The Initiative"
Commentary for "Wild at Heart" by Joss Whedon, Marti Noxon and Seth Green
Disc 3:
Commentary for "Hush" by Joss Whedon
Featurettes:
Hush
"Spike Me"
"Oz revelations: A Full Moon"
"Buffy, Inside sets of Sunnydale"
Script for "Hush"
Cast Bios
Still Gallery
Disc 4:
Commentary for "This Year's Girl" by Writer Doug Petrie
Disc 5:
Commentary for "Superstar" by Jane Espenson
Script for "Who Are You?"
Disc 6:
Commentary for "Primeval" by Writers David Fury & James A. Cotner
Commentary for "Restless" by Joss Whedon
Featurette "Season 4 Overview"
Still Gallery
Why can't they use the same commentaries for both sets (it would make for more commentaries!). Well, there you have it!
I'm not sure what purpose this served, but well...there you go.

I prefer the design of ours. Doesn't seem so plain.
