I never thought she was, not that it should matter if she is or not...

I guess the newspapers are desperate for a story.

Yes, when I heard that the gay housewife is supposed to be Marcia, I couldn't really believe it either.
Not that it would matter but I can't picture her as a lesbian.
When Chris informed us that one of the housewives would soon come out of the closet my bet was on Felicity but then I didn't know that she was married, lol.
So, now I am confused: Is there any truth in this story at all? (that one of the housewives is gay in real life)

Christine (from Germany), I'm so confused myself! This was confirmed by so many respected sourced, and I knew it even before it was leaked. It's just odd. It seemed so confirmed and true. Sure unexpected, but it seemed so true, thenw hen it started getting big, it seems like everyone backed off and denied it. I wonder if they got cold feet or it this was just a REALLY good rumor that spread like wildfire.

I sure hope it was only a big rumour, if they got cold feet this would mean a step backwards. :(
Last week I had to think a lot about Marcia and I remembered her appearance on Oprah and my impression back then is that she was so sad!
I COULD somehow picture her as this sad, depressed woman who can't be happy because she can't live the life she would want to live.

I'm guessing it probably started when they said that one of the husbands and then they said it could be one of the girls one the show and/or real life. Next rumors started to say it was Bree's son Andrew and somehow someone linked it to Marcia! I don't think it really matters, i mean so what if she's gay? not saying she is or isn't!

I've read an article about it on afterellen.com, famous site about lesbian visibility - apparently, this rumour was started from simple post on some online board, post by some anonymous "insider".
They must be really desperate for news if any poster can claim to be insider (remember KL.net's fake insider?) and start huge campaign in press.
The biggest problem IMHO is that society is so focused on sexual lives of celebrities. Aren't there more interesting aspects of human nature?

This is the most stupid thing I have ever read. First it is NOT important if she is or she is not, and second if Marcia says she is not than she is NOT! Thats all, why somebody will insist about such a thing?

im not sure how the rumor started but i do remember watching a E Hollywood Story about Melrose Place a few years ago where Marcia Cross said that she had just lost her lover/partner and not saying anything else about it, even though it was a man, i could see how that comment couldve been misconstrued.
