Having read a thread on a Knots Landing Reborn topic over on the main forum tonight, I began to cringe with embarressment over the way some posters seemed to be taking the mickey out of the web serial itself.

That is something I hope I never see about my own series however if you do have any complaints regarding a Fantasy Knots Landing storyline, please feel free to 'air' your views here on this forum - in particular, this thread.

If any of you have a problem or concern about the way a particular story seems to be shaping up, I'd rather you let me know via this forum or even by e mail. I'd rather be given the chance to iron out any issues before they end up on the actual series itself which is after all exposed to the worldwide web and thus attracts more posts than this dear old forum does.

So don't be shy and give me a try, so Fantasy Knots Landing dosen't die...

...on other threads displayed elsewhere on this forum. I would like to address your two concerns.

First of all, the casting issue will remain the same for the remainder of the new season. Just like in the television series itself, characters will come and characters will go. I know it must seem frustrating to know that all these characters exist or are about to exist and the largest chunks of each episode are still spent in the company of the series regulars like Karen, Val and co however the average episode should only take about 15 - 20 minutes to read and I don't have the time to make each episode longer as I hold down a full time job. So I need to limit each episode to just the main plotlines with just occasional room for light relief. Thus, the main characters will always take centre stage with the newcomers filling up the remaining scenes in each episode. I also know that there are several new charcaters still to make their 'debut'. Again, this is just like your average Knots season. Remember that characters such as the Williams family, Johnny Rourke and even Paige made their debuts halfway through each season. The only reason this may agitate you is because you know in advance (thanks to the credits page) who is coming aboard in later episodes. However the alternative would mean that Bobby Ewing on the forum would need to update the credits page every fortnight along with the Episode Page and that's not fair to ask him to do that also, as he already dedicates lots of his spare time to Fantasy Knots Landing as it is, so I hope you understand.

As for the story featuring Eric's murder, this is one of those 'long haul' stories like the twins' kidnapping that will last the full season. So it is inevitable that it will simmer in the background for a couple of weeks, however be assured that by around Episode Nine, the story will return to the core of the season in the build up to the finale that occurs in Week 15.

I therefore ask you to please remain loyal to the series as you are one of the few core fans who reguarly post on the forum and I don't want to lose your 'viewing' so to speak. The same applies to Chip who also posted and to whoever rated Danny's complaint and obviously agrees with him (that's if it wasn't Danny or Chip themselves).

Any other issues you may have Danny, please feel free to reply to me... http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

It's great that we have this forum where we can register complaints but I happen to think that the complaints that were made seem petty. This week we had a good few scenes featuring supporting characters like Mort Bradley Gloria Angeline and Peggy. New character Clark Logan also made his debut and if we had any more time spent with people who weren't core characters then we would have no time for the regulars. Take Abby for example who had just one scene at the end. I think the balance is just about right and wouldn't want to change the way things are right now.

I was not complaining with the show. I happen to think that fantasy Knots Landing is a very good series. I just thought that seeing as you were mean't to be giving us the opportunity to register any issues with you on the forum (and you did tell us to do that) that I would say one or two things that were on my mind about the murder story and because I didn't think of what I was saying as a serious complaint I didn't want to put my comments in the complaints corner thread. I didn't mean to be petty and hope you don't think that about me. I do think that fantasy Knots Landing is a very good show and am hurt that you think of what I said as a complaint. http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I wasn't complaining either Knotsman and think the Eric murder stor ywas a brilliant idea. Yeah it is dragging on a bit but I am sure that when the pot does start bubbling again it will have been worth the wait.
