I think she was one of the few highlights of the later years. Like Afton she started out as a money hungry sexy bitch but like Ms Cooper she turned into this lovable, witty, caring and so humane young woman who was craxy about Bobby, a good sis to Michelle and a good friend to Cliff.

However, dear Mrs Bobby Ewing II does not get often on this forum: why??

I ADORED April as money hungry, sexy bitch! She was really good fun - smart and funny. I SO don't agree she then turned into someone loveable and witty. She turned into a simple minded idiot! (That's the main difference bewteen April and Afton: as Afton became nicer, she grew shrewder, as April became "nicer", she got stupider and more irrational.)

The reason I preferred Bobby with Pam (or even Jenna) was because they had better story lines! Bobby and April had no sense of history together, so all their relationship problems were horribly contrived. April was transformed into a shrill, whiny, clinging moron by the writers in the hopes of bringing some drama to the relationship. The April and Bobby courtship in Season 12 was incredibly irritating, and I was delighted when she was mown down in a hail of bullets. The series improved considerably as a result!

James you on the money with the whole thing. I loved April in the 9 season. She was a sensational sexy money hungry bitch. From the tenth season on I hated her. She was never a match for Bobby. Dallas had a standard plot line and its flavor was lost when Pam left...not mention Sue Ellen 2 years lata. So then the producers tried to make something of Bobby by having him marry April. Well she wined long enough to get him. First she betrayed Cliff's trust by admitting to Bobby that he really did find Pam and that she didnt want to come back. Talk selfish, not only did she back stabb Cliff ( who was a good friend to her) butshe tried to get Bobby's attention by trying to make him feel pain fo ahis ex wife. Then from then on every attempt that Bobby made to try and date a nother woman (Tracy, Kay, The Fake Pam) she was there cry and whine and act like a child who was determined to have her way. most people complaint that Pam whined but atleast you could understand her whining (JR's constant tryin to destroy her marraige to Bobby, Dealing with Cliff, not be able to have a child, having to defend her honour as a Ewing and a Barnes, having a drunk father, a mother who abandoned her, and derranged psycho sister like Katherine.........) even if it was over board, but all April did was spend 3 years bitchin ova wanted a mna who really didnt want her. Hell it wasnt even true to form with bobby's nature cause he most of thime wouldn not have wanted a woman who had been with JR. It seem the writers just wanted to find something to do with April and so it seem like bobby said...."HEll she keeps chasing me and I cant seem to do no better so what the hell". They got married then what... they killed her.

to should have gave Victoria Principal her back bone back and then she would have stayed and Dallas may have been high in ratings and stayed on possibly another 5 seasons.

Thanks for your kind words for Mrs Bobby Ewing II. She was great fun in season nine as this modern, funny, sexy and shrewd young woman but I also liked her when we became to see her other face, her human touch and her vulnerable side. She became one of the few persons of flesh and blood who were on Dallas. When she and Bobby started to date, I LOVED THAT, they were such a nice, sexy and great looking couple, so normal and sound after all his problems with Pam and dreary Jenna, when they split them up during season 11 all the other Bobby Sockes sucked!!!! http://www.soapchat.net/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
